Taking the Cake

I decided to make this drawing a little "topsy-turvy" as a reflection of my schedule lately. I haven't posted in what feels like forever & I will try to get some more content up here to make up for it. I referenced her legs from a great illustrater that I have only recently discovered. Check out her blog here: caitlinquiet.blogspot.com I am not overly pleased with how this turned out; but that is what practice is for. I  am also taking a observational drawing course right now & I might upload some of my class works.

 I decided to draw one of the epic heels from Alexanders Fall/Winter 2010 collection.

I never got a chance to post about Alexander McQueen this past Friday; which would have been the one year anniversary of his passing. You can read more about him here: http://oork.com/5e4s4

His death was a shocking blow to the fashion world & he will be missed.
