These are just three drawing that I completed in  my drawing class this year. I am working on building my portfolio & going through all of my stuff. I am not sure if these will make it in, but I thought I would share.

Fashion Design Illustration

This is a look I sketched by hand & then coloured on my computer. A print skirt worn with a coat, opaque tights and black heals. I may try to flesh out a whole collection based around the inspiration I was using for this look.

Photos of recent pages in my sketchbook. Mind you this is not an entirely balanced representation. I dont often use flame when creating; this was for an assignment that required an element of spontaneity or lack of control. Enter a lighter & some pages from my old binder. I overlaid several pages to get the desired look & then added some illustrations around the one on the left.

Here is the progress I have made on my most recent drawing. (sorry for the odd angle; my scanner isn't working so this is from my camera) I am planning on developing this piece a lot more & hoping to submit it to a local "Zine" which features writing & art.

Magdalena Frackowiak in Sketchbook Series

The gorgeous Magdalena Frackowiak as seen in H&M done in ink as part of my ongoing Sketchbook Series . A project I started to practice my sketching skills. Each drawing is done with pen, no pencils or erasers allowed; that way lines must be more decisive because there is little room for error. 

Kanye Announces Donda Sketchbook Series

So if any of you happen to have been on twitter last night & also happen to be following Kanye West you witnessed some pretty interesting things go down. First off he started giving a recap of his various fashion world endeavors & then he went on to explain his newest venture: Donda. According to Kanye's twitter feed: DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas...

Well I am not quite sure if Kanye will be knocking on my door but I thought it might be fun to give this drawing a whirl.

Purple Purse ~ Sketchbook Series

Here is something a little different to throw into my mix of pen drawings. First difference is that it is not a model (actually I have no idea who she is) & I added some colour. Just trying to keep you all on your toes in the new year.

A part in my Ink Sketchbook Series. Thought I would give myself a bit more of a challenge (as if drawing using only pens wasn't enough) and include 2 people instead of the usual 1. There is also the distinct problem I have with drawing peoples faces sideways!? I have deemed it highly improbable to achieve this look convincingly.

I have been using pen so that I can't fix any mistakes while I draw.

Here is a ink sketch done of Sasha from a Tom Ford Ad. I thought the blunt bangs made for a interesting picture. You can't go wrong when you have eyes like Sasha.

Jacquelyn Jablonski as seen in a look from Diane von Furstenberg's latest spring/summer collection. DVF had a great wearable catwalk show. A very strong & positive line to be viewed on sept. 11th 2011.

I also love how the hair was styled for this show.

This was one of my favorite looks from a show filled with a great mix of sport-wear & tailored coats.

Classes in Session

So yes although it has been two years since I attended any sort of formal schooling; I have hit the books again. Here is to lots more time to doodle in class. (real jobs make doodling difficult)
