WIP: A New Painting

image: reubenvision

Here is a WIP or "Work In Progress" of a painting I started late last night. Well actually I started it way early this morning. It seems, normal sleeping patterns have decided to abandon me. I was more awake in the middle of the night then I was yesterday afternoon. If this sort of productivity comes out of such things, then perhaps I should not complain. You may notice that I am actually doing the portrait over top of another painting I did as a response to music. I am not quite sure what I will do with the abstract background in the end, but I will be sure to upload a photo of the finished product.

Kasia Struss, Sketchbook Series

Kasia Struss as seen in Vogue Russia shot by Tom Ford.

Another installments in my model sketchbook series. I am drawing the entire series in ink; that means no erasers!

Soft Breeze

Soft Breeze: reubenvision

Finished this illustration in my sketchbook last night. I find the repeated circles reminiscent of coffee cup stains on my paper.

Just finished this today. You may recognize the flowers from this post

I am just starting to draw on larger areas & it is taking some getting used to.

mixing paints

Trying to come up with a poster to advertise my floral designs.

Should I worry about branding this early? My largest concern is creating a theme I will be happy with for a prolonged period of time.
